The posadas are one of Guatemala's most important Christmas traditions, marking a special time filled with delicious food, traditional Christmas songs, and different holidays and customs. We are sharing that tradition with the help of some very special friends!

The traditional Christmas posadas take place all over Guatemala from December 16th to the 24th. In city neighborhoods and small towns, small processions or andas walk the streets as soon as the night falls. Children and teenagers carry the images of Joseph and Mary on the anda. At the same time, the adults bring colored paper lanterns and sing the traditional canciones de posada.
We are so happy to host the posada, organized by the Boylen Cleaning Services team and the Guatemala Donations Project, and share the Guatemalan espíritu navideño in a cultural celebration.
